MK Collect Secures $1.6m to build its large-scale DAC pilot plant

24 August 2024
MK Collect is excited to announce that, in collaboration with the University of Melbourne, we have successfully secured a $1.6 million grant from the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW). This funding will accelerate the development and scaling of our cutting-edge direct air capture (DAC) technology, positioning us at the forefront of the global fight against climate change.
This grant will enable us to optimise our existing pilot plant and support the design and construction of the next large-scale pilot plant. These advancements will allow us to refine our technology, reducing the energy required for solvent regeneration, and ultimately lowering the overall costs of direct air capture. Additionally, the project will create value by producing high-quality building materials, further contributing to a sustainable and circular economy.
This achievement underscores MK Collect’s leadership in the development of advanced carbon capture technologies and our commitment to addressing climate change. We are thrilled about the opportunities this project presents and look forward to contributing to a more sustainable future.
