How Our Direct Air Capture technology works

Using green solvents for removing CO2 from air

In the absorption section, air with extra-low CO2 content interacts with our eco-friendly chemical solvent for capture. Our in-house developed MK Solvent is non-toxic, non-hazardous with negligible loses during the operation.

Collecting CO2 from the solvent

After capturing CO2 from the air, the CO2-saturated MK Solvent (CO2-Rich solvent) undergoes heating and is pumped into a catalytic distillation chamber to release its captured CO2. The chamber exhibits high permeability for both CO2 and H2O molecules, ensuring the collection of CO2 with 99.00-99.99% purity upon H2O condensation. The regenerated MK Solvent (CO2-Lean) is subsequently cooled and returned to the absorption section for further CO2 capture from the air.

Catalytic CO2 desorption

Our innovative catalytic solvent regeneration approach enables low-temperature CO2 collection under vacuum. This not only conserves a substantial amount of energy during operations, reducing OPEX, but also prevents solvent thermal degradation. Furthermore, it facilitates the utilization of waste heat for the efficient capture of CO2 from the air.
